synthetic oil for tranny&diff

Just woundering if it would be ok to use synthetic gear oil in the tranny&diff of my third gen. My second gear it starting the feel ruff. Which brand would be best

synthetic gear oil

I prefer REDLINE 75W90.

I've used Redline, Amsoil, and Royal Purple in my 2nd and 3rd gens, and to be totally frank, they all work just as well as the other.

I just reread your original question, and YES it's okay to use synthetic in your 3rd gen...if anything it is preferable.

I use NEO synthetic (from www.bakerprecision.com) for both tranny and diff (same fluid), and I did notice a difference in shifting (better of course). Oh, and the old diff fluid was NASTY, boy was that stuff gross, it looked horrible.

what's the product number? I'm thinking to get the Neo oil, but don;t knwo which one i should get.
