Stupid question about aftermarket FPR

Hi, so I have a kind of dumb question and I apologize in advance. I am just mostly looking for reassurance. I have a Fuel Lab fpr but its only a 2 port. I see most people have 3 port fpr's. Can I still use it if I mount it directly to the fuel rail? I will be running FFE primary and secondary. Here is a pic of an FFE rail with it directly mounted to the fuel rail vs I see a lot of guys mount it to the front of the intake manifold. I would love to mount it there, but dont think its possible with a 2 port. I also notice in the 3rd pic, that the return is on the bottom of the fpr. Anyway, pics attached for reference. Some opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Nevermind, I found a detailed article on series vs parallel so I will just use mine in series. Thanks!

Yep looks like you've got it figured out. Nothing to worry about. I just recommend running the FPR after the rails just so that the rails always get pressure, even if the FPR fails.
