Stupid 87 rx-7!!

Hey, i've got 2 things i've gotta figure out....when i go to crank my car it takes forever to get it to turn over and idle.....it'll crank for a minute like it's about to turn on then it'll go back to sounding like it's not going to start, is this a fuel problem? Also, once i do get my car actually fired up, it'll idle just fine and then once i drive down the street it'll start idling really low like it's gonna die, if i just tap the gas to the floor and let off it dies, but as long as i lightly keep giving it gas it'll stay alive, what's wrong here? I've got a 13b carbed rotary in it....thanx

you said you have a carbie on it, right? what kind of carb are you running? what fuel pump?

i would start with the simple things like checking for vacuum leaks and making sure the idle mixtures are correct. check fuel pressure vs. carb requirements.

next i would make sure all ignition components are working properly and check the timing.

start there are see if you get anywhere, then report back.
