Stuck Side seals
Stuck Side seals
I'm taking all the seals out of my rotors to rebuild and some of the side seals have snapped and I cant dig them out.
Whats the best way??
I have tried pushing them backwards and forwards, no joy. The only place they seem to want to go is down if I tap them with a very small bladed screw driver.

soak the seal grooves in pb blast overnight, then use some old useless side seals to dig them up and out. sometimes a pick or the screwdriver you are using will work. also, one thing you can do (once the pb blast has freed the seals a bit) is it slide them one direction so that they are in the corner seal opening, then use a hook-shaped pick to get under them and pull up. if they break, just repeat the process (slide, then pull up).
hope this helps
