I started up my 12a motor and theres a strange knocking cant tell if its from the transmission or the motor. if it was a regular piston motor it sounds like the motor threw a rod. can anyone please help. and also i want to part the body out let me know what you need its a 1980 model gold in color

 

Is the dash in good shape?

 

stupid question. but is the engine shaking? or the car vibrating at all? maybe it is a mount for the engine or transmition. posibly clutch componants? let us know if its shaking/vibrating.

 

hmmm, Sounds like the Clutch gave way. or tranny. Also look under the car and make sure your Driveshaft is intact. heh.

 

Or it could be like mine and have a wiped rotor bearing. That causes the rotor to slip and knock on the rotor housing.

press the clutch and see if the noise goes away.
