Starts, wont run

i got a 86 n/a
all stock except for the air filter
put new brakes on, hadnt run in about a month
starts up nice now, and then quits, no matter how much i gas i give it
anyone kno what this could be?
if i didnt put enough info in let me
and i already tried searching, all i found was the classified stuff

What classified stuff? Get a Haynes or any good service manual and troubleshoot. FUEL, SPARK, COMPRESSION. Check these!

If it cranks fine and then immediately stalls, you've probably got a huge vacuum leak. That's what mine did and I found a torn gasket under the Exten manifold. Replaced the gasket and a bit of gasket sealer and the problem went away.

Might be a fuel problem. Injectors not firing, fuel pump not sending. AFM. good luck

Is your mass air flow plug still plugged in? I would check the connection to be sure.(might be corroded)and everything he said^^^^.

i took the afm apart and two connections had broken inside, i just need to find a good soldering iron that i can use on the board, be back once i fix the problem

hehe no AFM tends to not let the engine run that has got to be your problem :P
