mine sat for 5 years...got a new battery, pulled the plugs & wires, pulled fuel pump connection, spun engine to get rid of fuel, unhooked battery, drained fuel tank, put in new fuel.

shot in MMO in the leading plug holes with a syringe, turned rotor manually, more MMO, turned rotor, more MMO, turned rotor (you get the drift) and let it sit for 3 days. used 8 ozs of MMO total, but am thinking i should have used more. some people use ATF, but i think MMO is much better.

changed oil, fuel filter, air filter, gear oil in those 3 days waiting.

cleaned up the plugs (wire brush), put them back in, hooked up battery, and cranked it. lots of smoke for 2-3 mins, idled crappily, didn't adjust TPS, idle or anything...saving those for another day.
