spare engine build

with a rotary can you pick up a blown engine and rebuild it? i want to get a spare engine, rebuild and port it on the side....
i usally just pick up blocks for my s13 with like worn rings or something like dirt cheap that and use that to rebuild... or with the 13b do you buy a normal running engine and rebuild it? i dont want to waste money on a good running engine with its going to get rebuilt anyway...

so im guessing whats the normal for picking up a engine thats going to be rebuilt? thanks

if its blown, you might need a rotor, a rotor housing and two side housing. you'll need more than one blown engine if you want to rebuilt it without having to buy 500$/piece engine componments
