sound at idle and normal boost at idle

what ios the normal boost i should be getting at idle because i am turning something like 500mg or mercury whatever the chem symbol is and i would much apprecitate if i could get a description of the sound of an RX7 at idle, im a little paranoid about my baby and i was just wonering, its kind of low and growly, it doesnt act funny and it boosts perfectly if not too perfectly at speed

is 500 mg supposed to be 500 mmHg???? not sure what you're saying .... and by the way, 500 mmHg would be crazy!

anyway, at idle, you should not be measuring ANY boost, because the engine should not be making any positive pressure ... it's still running on vacuum (negative pressure) ... if you are making boost at idle, i'd recommend taking up religion quickly, and take your car to a priest or rabbi.

the sound of an Rx-7 at idle will depend on your setup, but aside from differences in tone, it should be a burble or steady hum. you said "low and growly", and that sounds fine to me.

500mmhg = 19.7" of vacum (not boost...). very good for idle.
