Sorry newbie question

Here is the question,
How can you tell if your engine is blown?
I never experienced because i baught my 7 with a rebuilt engine.
Is there any other way to check or symptons beside to check compression, and flooding.

just because it floods does not mean the engine is blown..if you compression check the engine it will give you more info as to what you have..search threads about compression to find out how..or a manual is good too..readin up on the rotary is probably the best thing you can do to get familiar with the functionality of it, (I am learning more each day just from browsing through the threads)..they are good engines .they just require attention(maintenance) since they are not exactly spring chickens anymore..once you drive them though..you never want piston again..(at least I don't)..so read, search, post a question you need answers to ..lots of knowledgeable guys here..good luck and for God's sake, have fun!
