Exclamation Some broken RE: balance problem?

My friends in Russia have two broken engines. The first is FD with 20B Cosmo RE. Engine was broken down after 2-3K miles. The simptoms are broken bearing in front stat. gear. Man use OS flyweel with 2 plate clutch and 20B AT counterweight. The second car is FD too with AT to MT swap. Flywheel and clutch is the same. A conterweight is from AT FD. Problems are the same.
I built cosmo with 13B-RE. AT/MT swap, OS clutch and flywheel, AT cosmo counterweight. I am in scare!
Other FD guy use OS clutch/FW/AT counterweight has no problem with his RE. But he keeps MT front counterweight. The car was MT.
I need your opinions!

Unless the engines had bad vibrations to begin with, the counterweights sound fine. Can you be more specific on the bearing failures. Did the bearings walk/move out of position, did they wear through the babbet too quickly or did the stationary gear teeth fail? What is the max rpms these failed motors have seen?
