Im just wondering is there something else you should adjust after you install a Greddy SMIC? I did the install and took it for a test drive and on the first pass it seemed to be working. Then i stoped and check the engine bay and got back into the car and tried to take off again it but the boost gage would stay at about 0? Kind of weird?? The vaccum seemed to be working fine it was pulling at about 20 with my foot off the gas rolling but no boost.?? Should the intercooler be totally sealed off around the side of it? My stock plastic intercooler duct didnt work that well when i chopped it up for the smic install but it did work. most of it is getting a major amout of air? Just wondering if something has to be adjusted to make up for the larger intercooler??

 

your boost should not be zero regardless of the IC install. you probably have a coupling leaking. most of these expensive kits still come with only cheap worm gear clamps, you NEED to purchase TBOLTS from hosetechniques or you local boating supplies store or you will be dealing with "pop off" coupling the rest of your life

 

One thing I i did notice was that when i went on the first pass I heard the stock blow off. WHich i never hear. I wonder what could be loose? Ill check it today.

 

Hey Bryan Damn guess what!! It was the connection i didnt seem to notice it last night after the install. The bottom piece of the intercooler coupling poped off. You da MAn. Thanks damn I was so tired last night after I finished the install at about 12.00 am and didnt want to mess with it anymore I even took it for 2 test drives. which i never really drive the car. So i said F it and came in and wrote in the fourm. And you had the anwser. Thanks I guess once you look at the engine for a few hours it all starts to look the same. Well its 7:45 am and damn i slept like **** last night. But I think im gonna go back to bed for now. its hard to sleep when your babies Sick. The worst part was some kid in a acura was trying to race me last night when I took it out for a test drive. He kicked my ***. Ill see him again. He kept saying wanna race wanna race wanna race. I was like naw somethings up with my ride. even after I told him that he still wanted to race. I guess he figured if he had any chance now would be the time. LOL Ill see him again Im sure!
