basically this post doesnt need to be anymore cause i found out i mixed up the names of 2 clutches the mcleod makes. i thought their slipper clutch was called the rev lok. and they make that for all kinds of cars including rx7s. to find out they call their slipper clutch a soft lok. and i couldnt find it listed for an rx7. what a slipper clutch is, is a clutch that lets the engine leave under power while spinning a lot of rpm and not spin the tires off the line, by slipping the clutch. when you let the clutch out it has an amount of base pressure which you set by turning screws that press on the fingers of the clutch. then theres counter weight which you can add and take off from. that controls the full lockup of the clutch by as the in put shaft of side of the trans picks up speed it locks up the clutch more. this clutch is used in drag cars where traction is a concern
