Question Slick 50 in rotary?

Is it advisable to use Slick 50 or similiar products in a
rotary engine? Will it do any good?

Don't put Slick 50 in any engine. It doesn't work, and the Slick 50 company has been sued several times (and lost, I think) because it is not good for the engine. DuPont (makers of Teflon, which is Slick 50's star ingredient) says that the material should NOT be used in internal combustion engines.

If you want to do something special for your engine, pre-mix a little two-stroke oil in the gas. That would give far better protection than any of the snake oils.

Yeah, I agree. Not only are they generaly not that good for mos internal-cumbustion engines, but they are especially bad in rotaries due to the extra high engine temps, and the oil injection system. The stuff leaves carbon deposits when burned, so it's a BIG no-no.

Two stroke is good and, if you can find it, pick up a bottle of Lucas Fuel Treatment. Works great!

Slick 50 worked when it was made in CO, but when they sold it to Quaker state it became snake oil with teflon and Parafin based snake oil at that.

Either way you are better of not using it in a rotary or any car anymore.
