Seriously, how hard is it to get Main Seals for a 13B
I think it's cus i'm located in the Boise Idaho area. Everyone i have called either has that voice that translates to Dumb Deer Staring Into Headlights, or I am losing my mind.
How hard is it to get a front and rear main seal? And i'm not going to pay extra (more than the cost of the seal) just for the local auto parts store just to get them in later next week (by the 15th of Jan, mind you todays the 9th) at the earliest.
I swear, i missed out on Covid due to medical issues, but everything went full retard.
I'm going to ask the Hive mind here, where should i spend my hard earned money for just a couple of seals, and yes i'll get them from an on line source.
Plug away. and i'm so in to see the responses.
Cheers,
Gene

You can get anything from the dealer if you give them part numbers. NEVER EVER EVER EVERRRRRR tell them ANYTHING other than the part number under any circumstance. Yes you pay a little more but if they can provide it by "tomorrow" then you have to asses that for your situation. Anywhere online will be a week AT LEAST before you see it.

Jim Ellis Mazda usually has pretty good prices. Located in Alpharetta, GA so on the east coast. I'm guessing from previous posts this is for a '99. They have a rear main seal for a '95 for 16.35 and a front for 20.86 plus whatever shipping is to you.

I typically use them or Mazdatrix.

For a '99 you might want to get a hold of the parts catalogue for that year.
Many parts overlap with LHD, but there has been continual upgrading of parts.
It may take a little longer but Nengun is more likely to have JDM parts.
I have had good service from them recently.
Having said that they may have roadblocks for shipping ot the US.

While I concur that Nengun is great, unfortunately there are... "roadblocks" as you say to getting things from them into the US.
Shipping from Japan has gotten ridiculous. But their shipping costs have gotten especially outrageous -- you're looking at nearly $80 to start and go up quickly from there.
And now there's tariffs which they collect. Which the 15% tariff woudln't be so bad. But they use a brokerage that charges huge fees on top of this percentage, so the math really works out to more like 50%.
All-In, you're looking at generally something close to 100% more than the quoted price on Nengun to actually get the item in your hand. That can often still be cheaper than Mazda USA or even Atkins though -- sometimes by a LOT -- so it's still worth checking. Just prepare yourself for that sticker shock in the Checkout.
There are a number of eBay sellers in Japan that sell a very large portion of the available OEM Mazda catalog -- and can frequently get even more if you reach out to them. They charge only $20-40 for shipping and their pricing includes tariffs and isn't all that much more than Nengun.
FWIW, I've had great interactions with seller SHO-TIME on eBay for all my OEM JDM purchases.

Yeah. Sho-time has been great. He will source unlisted stuff (i.e. NLA) and will consolidate shipments to keep the costs down.
For Canada, tariiffs on Japan stuff are minimal and Japan Post is very competitive, which keeps the couriers honest (I reckon).
We have GST/PST (12%) on inbound stuff, but it seems Canada Customs is back to ignoring shipments under C$200.
Stuff I buy on Buyee on average ends up costing 2.5 times the original winning bid, considering all the middleman charges.
But many items are heavily discounted.
We have a member of the tuner community that works with a wrecking yard in Japan to stuff an outbound container full of parts, about once every two months.
Very large items are often heavily discounted, and the container route is economical for bringing such items in.
I have three '99 spec FD bumpers on route using this method.
