i just built an engine- it ran great for almost 500 miles. i drove over 100 miles today on the freeway, with multiple short trips after that. car never overheated or acted strange at all. i went to leave and the motor fired immediately and ran perfectly at warmup idle-perfect afr's. as i went to pull away it drove for a second and then stalled instantly. there was no grind scrape or bang. i thought it was strange and when i went to restart it wouldn't turn over at all. i put the wrench on the eccentric shaft bolt and tried to turn it without success. the oil pan is full and the omp is fine. however, and i know this is the stupidest thing i couldve done, the oil pressure guage doesn't work. so i haven't been able to tell what the oil pressure is since i started driving it. if there was no oil pressure could the motor have survived for 500 miles and not been running hot? i know there could be many different problems anyone have any ideas. thanks, josh
