s4 into s3 follow up questions.
Tell me if I'm understanding this correctly, I can put a long block 86 with the larger ports and intake into my GXL-SE 85 chassis. It will bolt to the 85 Tranny. I can adapt it to the stock AFM thanks to fernco racing supply (lol). Here's my questions:
1.) do I need to use the GXL oil pan?
2.) do I need to transfer the front cover (holds distributor) from the 85? or can I merely replace the crank trigger with the distributor?
3.) must I plug the secondary injector holes in the 86 intake? or should I just leave the injectors there and not connected?
4.) do I need to transfer the water pump/accessory bracket holders from the 85 or can I just use the 86 with the 85 front chain cover/distributor mount?
I don't need to pass smog but I want the simplest conversion without splitting hairs over a few HP on the top end. I already have a K & N drop in for the 85 and a complete RB header to tailpipe exhaust.

yes, you can with the SE front cover
1. no. totally ******* useless for your cause. use the SE oil pan.
2. yes. and yes!
3. leave 'em alone (if i remember correctly) or get a computer to utilize them ...
4. use your SE parts ... you'll never get the hood to close without headaches and modification ...

5.) will the stock 86 flywheel and clutch mate with the SE 5-speed Throwout bearing and fork?
6.) can I use the 3" AFM from the 86 and mod it to fit the 85 air box? Will the 85 ECU accept the input from the 86 AFM and treat it correctly?

I've read the big post that Kevin did on this last year and Thank you. Let me refine my Question 6.) Can I make an adaptor of the pin outs of the 86 AFM so I plug this into the 85 AFM harness?
