Hi

I have a 1987 rx7 turbo. And it ran great for 23 miles and the just wouldn't start up on me so i checked all the fuses and there all fine. However I can start the car for a few seconds and than it just quits. I am getting commpression spark and fuel (fuel to the fuel rail) But i cant get my injectors to open i guss. but im not totaly shure its the injectors. I know i am getting fuel because i have checked it and i have dissconnected the main fuel pump relay and it will not start at all but than when i plug it back in it will start for a few seconds and than thats it. I also have a cutoff switch in the car for the injectors but all the wiring to and from that seems to be fine as far as i know. If anyone has any idas what it could possably be could you let me know thanks.

 

check fuel pump presure, maybe a week fuel pump

floor it and crank the hell out of it for 15-20 seconds

 

could be leaky gas seals....

 

Well i do this with a fuel cut switch but. Take the EGI-INJ Fuse out then crank it over for three seconds.. put it back in try to start it. if it does't try one more time with cranking it over for 5 or 6 seconds. that was my main problem when i first got my fc. the owner didnt tell me the trick and i was stranded trying to start it for hours. Untill some one with an rx7 showed me the trick and it started right away. TONS of smoke for like 5 minutes but then it was fine i flooded it to hell. good luck and tell me if that helps. if not you got other isues
