RX7 Specialties Apex Seals

I was wondering if anyone is running or has run their 2mm apex seals? I am already purchasing new housings from them for my '94 and was wondering about going with their apex seals, springs and corner seals. How have these seals been to people? they sound good. i havent heard much about them (not saying too much since i havent been here long) most ive heard about is atkins=soft and mazda's 2 peice and RA. any comments please.

Well since Chris doesn't have any ***** I’ll chime in....
I think most people would say to stay away from them... Although they are a local shop and the only rotary specific shop around for miles it hurts me to say this.
I'm not trying to be a total *** and telling everyone to stay away from them period.. I'm just saying that I don't think there seals are "the best".

Let's please not turn this into another war... Yes they have good service.. I'm sure plently of skill as well, but i don't think there seals are "up to par" for most people.

From what I understand the stock Mazda seals are the way to go. Spend the extra cash to do it right the first time. I got talked into 3mm seals by RX7 Specialties and they had to rebuild my engine 3 times to get it to run. It still doesn't run and in my opinion I should have just stayed with the stock Mazda 2mm seals.

Just out of curiosity, why would you purchase "new" housings from them? Wouldn't "new" housings come from Mazda? Or are they buying new Mazda housings at a discounted rate and then cutting Mazda's throat by reselling them to you for less than what Mazda would sell them to you? Are you sure they are not "reconditioned" housings? (Ie: used housings that are cleaned, hit with a little spray paint and resold). Just wondering..........

www.mazdatrix.com or www.mazdaspeedmotorsports.com if you can provide some SCCA racing slips you can sign up with them and get wholesale prices...

Or just download the parts .pdf file (search the forums) and order from your local Mazda dealer.
