rx7 info

Hi thinking about buying an RX7 but heard rumers about engine rebuilds every 30k is this true. If so does anybody no roughly how much an engine rebuild costs. Is there any other known problems I should look out for. Any info will be great cheers

That's typical. Your information is well over 30 years old. Mazda cured the many rebuilds problem in '74. Since then, engines run for a very long time. RX-7s get well over 100k, and some have over 200k on the original, never opened engine. Besides, rebuilds are easy to perform yourself.

I'm not sure about the cost to have someone else rebuild an engine, because I've always rebuilt my own.
