CA Rx7 fc transmission 1989 vs 1988.

Hi guys, I am pretty new to RX7. I plan to purchase an 1989 FC S5 None turbo. However, the transmission is grind. I plan to buy new tranny for it. So My question is can a 1988 tranny fit with the 1989 engine? Thanks so much for y'all time

Yes as long as you use the S4 trans cross-member and mounts.

Just wanted to add that the trans also needs to be from a non-turbo.

Thank you so much, so all i need to have is s4 mounts and tranny cross-memeber. Then take the 1989 tranny out and put the 1988 tranny in then bolt it together with the s4 mounts and cross member?
