Question RX7 doesn't like to start - HELP

I've got an 86 RX7 that will not start consistently. Problem seems to be random - car could be cold or hot. Engine turns over fine, but won't start. Had starter replaced. Had engine checked for compression and checked out fine. (dealer has not been able to find problem on numerous tries). Funny thing is, it will start when I pop clutch -- only safe way to park car is facing down a hill so I can pop it when rolling.
(I've read about flooding problems, but like I said problem happens hot or cold)
Has anyone had similar problems out there? I'm at wits end!
thx

I would try the ATF trick on your motor. Did you check the compression yet?

ATF trick is putting an ounce of fluid in each rotor housing and turning the motor over but be very careful how much you put in. For more specific directions look on the RX7.com website.
