Rx-7 With Partial Hybrid Setup

Contemplating a electric motor installation to a first gen for a partial hybrid setup. Any threads about this that you know of? Let me know if there are, or if you have any comments on this idea. Thanks

I've seen a 3rd Gen converted to fully electric, but no hybrid rotaries. The Alternative Vehicle club at Cal Poly Pomona was contemplating a hybrid rotary this summer, I'm not sure if they're still going to build it or not. Try contacting them through their webpage (which doesn't seem to be updated often) , or PM me and I can give you a person's email address.

From what I've seen, the transmission of hybrids (such as the Prius or Element) is the unique part. I'm not sure if you could retrofit this to a RWD chassis; it might be easier to swap a rotary into a vehicle that's already been designed for hybrid use. Contact that AV club, they'll have more info for you.
