rx 4 coupe with 13b turbo
i have a right hand drive mazda rx4 coupe 1973.
i want to fit a series 6 13b turbo with series 6 5 speed or a series 5 13b turbo and 5 speed.
now, which is the easier conversion? what needs to be done?
i dont want to cut any steel from my car.

I can give you this advice because I've done it on an RX-4 and a Cosmo/RX-5: Swap to a GSL-SE oil pan or the stock RX-4 oil pan. It will clear the main crossmember. Also swap the front cover to old school because as you know the RX-4 engine mounts at the front. Purchase some competition motor mounts as the stock RX-4 type are very close together which allow the engine to easily rock left and right, and the mounts themselves are very soft (especially the oddball one which usually sags a lot). Competitions fit perfectly and perform excellently. No metal cutting required.
As for which engine to choose, an S5 will use the stock oil cooler lines and bolt in easily (I did one in a friend's REPU). If using S6, its rear oil line at the oil filter needs to be modified. I haven't done an S6 yet so not sure. I think the S6 oil pan bolt holes are different too (a couple need to be drilled and tapped on the rear plate to use an earlier oil pan, aparently).

a 12a turbo timing cover bolts on to a series 6 13b turbo?
