Running Rich????
Can someone give me symptons of a car running too rich????
Back firing when accelerating, slow to rev when the engine is warmed up, pulls like **** below 4000 rpm but has 'some' power beyond 4000 rpm, idles normally but sometimes roughly. I smell little gas from my exhaust and I nearly pass out when I do.
Does this sound right??

If I undrstand correctly you cannot tune out the richness with the stock ECU. You would need a fuel mgnt comp. Correct?
Say I'm running this rich with a new engine and my mods are stock intake with the poor mans' mod...pun intended, and a downpipe. Should I replace my cat to see it that would lean it out some or should I just bite the bullet and go for the ECU upgrade so I can tune it. I don't plan on going any further with the mods at this time.
