rotor face pitting and oil control ring groove rust
I have a thread on ausrotary about this, but want to get a bit more input
on what you guys think of the following.
They are S4 N/a rotors. One obviously was left with coolant in it and got rust
on the surface, which I have cleaned off leaving some pitting behind.. the
other must have had coolant sitting in the side somehow so the oil control
ring groove has a little bit of rust, although doesn't appear too bad.
All the side-seal and apex-seal grooves appear to be perfect, just one oil
control ring groove has a bit of rust.

Some more pics of the oil control ring groove.

So far one person says to use it as a garden ornament but a couple of
others have said the pitting is not really a problem, as the rotors surfaces
do not touch anything, and the OCR groove, so long as the surface that
the rubber seal touches is ok, then thats fine.
Any further thoughts?
Thanks!
Paul.
