rotor direction importance

So after buying used rotors from guys that didn't package their used parts properly, I'm left with one good s4 na rotor weight stamp d. How important is rotor direction? I'm curious because now I need 1 more rotor, and I don't know if both would be fronts, both rear, or actually having #1 and #2 rotor, but flipping positions!
When I do my rebuild, I will be doing new bearings and seals. I did a search and read that you run your finger across the apex seal groves and can feel which way the rotor normally spun
