Rotary engine storage - engine taken apart

I've found the various ideas for winter storage, etc. but I couldn't find any threads about how to store an engine that you've recently taken apart. Everything is in great shape, but I don't plan on using it unless I need a rebuild in the future. So my question is, what to store it in over a 1 or 2 year period.

I have a large rubber made type rubber bin to submerge the entire engine in, so what should I feel the bin with? Straight coolant, no water in the mix, oil?

Any ideas?

Hmm good question. Coolant could develope scale over time and that's why it has additives that are activated by water. Over time the additives dissapate leaving you back with the bad coolant. I honestly have no idea though, just tossing an idea out there that perhaps someone else could disprove or build upon. I know Honda motors we'd use white lithium grease generously on the sleeves to make them last.

Is the engine in pieces or completely reassembled?

This works excellent for the rotors and steel parts. I had a set of rotors wraped this way for over a year. The wd40 really keeps the moisture away.

wd40 = water displacement #40. it was originally developed to keep the moisture off of missles, and it took 40 formulations...

like tabasco, wd40 only makes wd40.
