Random hose no power

Hey guys I need some help. There is a random hose on my passenger side coming out from the bottom putting out a lot of air while running. Wondering if it goes to something or if it should be putting out that much air. Thanks in advance!

sounds like the smog pump discharge hose, which won't affect power or much of anything, just noise.

Okay thanks I was just wondering. I'm not familiar with these motors how would I check the timing on it?

there are links to the FSM in the second gen section where you can find the procedures or by searching for the procedure.

basically idle the engine to under 1k RPMs and hook the timing light to L1 and T1 and make sure they match the marks on the pulley.
