questions for a newbie

There was a site with detailed info about the different years and info on the rotaries that came in them as well as specs does anyone have it? A better description of the site they had alot of featured cars with rotary swaps

Next up does anyone know big differences in strengths and weakness with the trannies and if they interchange iwth all the engines?

Whats typical cost of used 13bs or 12as?

Thanks
J

Was it one of these sites?

Hmm, I'm no transmission guru, but the transmissions are basically divided into the "ribbed" and "smooth" case variety. The ribbed (74-78 NA and 87-On Turbo) cases are stronger. The smooth case models are not as strong, and the 79-80 smooth case transmissions are the weakest. There are various weak plastic parts in different years of transmissions, but I can't begin to make a list of all the differences. The 12A, 13B, and 20B all have the same transmission bolt pattern.

A running 12A or 13B in OK shape usually sells for about $500.
