CA Properly Starting an '83 FB GS with choke

Hey Everyone!

I just acquired an rx7 and am super happy that I will be joining the community! i have not started the car yet but I want to make sure I do it correctly. Can someone help me out and just give me the steps to starting the car with the choke?
Much Appreciated!!!

you'll get the hang of it, but turn key on, pull choke, start car. when its running, push the choke in until its idling at some reasonable rpm (1200-1600). choke will pop off when its warm enough.

plan B, you can just pump the gas once or twice, and it'll start, and then you can pull the choke until the rpm is ok

j9fd3s has given you good advice. I prefer the first procedure, Pumping the accelerator dumps raw gas into the engine. Using the choke enriches the mixture but keeps it a mixture. Subtle distinction maybe, but with an engine prone to losing compression for no apparent reason some times, it pays to not take chances.
