Projay typhoon intake semi p port drivability

I have a 13B RE that's semi p port. Found a great deal on a Typhoon intake but I think it might be overkill for my power range. I'm looking to make only 500hp.

The CX RACING lower intake manifold is available. Uses the stock REW upper intake manifold. But CX RACING looks really poorly made.

Any opinions on these two intakes?? Drivability and response.

I mostly do drifts but might get into other track racing. I have been drifting for about 7 years or more and had 500 HP recently

You don't need either. Plenty of people make 500hp on the stock manifolds.

So, just don't use his Semi p-ports?

I don't think the CX racing looks poorly made, but I don't think it will work the best on the 13B-RE with its taller port runners. Its not cast, so there won't be enough Aluminum there on the flange and runner to match port and blend gradually.

Pro-Jay has only semi p-port manifold for 13B-RE that I have seen, but other cast 13B-REW ones might be able to be match ported to work with the 13B-RE.

He could have his stock manifold modified.

I believe the CX racing was for RE. MAYBE it was for REW though. I don't have an REW upper only a Lower at the moment, so price wise might get expensive to go with modified stock. I have a good deal for the projay at $1500 so that's why i may go that route

Don't do it, if you want to use a aftermarket intake go with the 4 barrel type intake setup with proggresive linkage, you will have drive ability issues with the thyphoon, I being there. A better option is the Elite intake, not sure if they have semi p port option yet. But can be easily modified if they don't offer semi p port.
