Unhappy problem

Guys I have a 86 rx7. After replacing the battery and spark plugs it still doesnt start. I know the engine works becuz it turns on for a second with stater fluid but I noticed that the spark plugs are dry. Any help is awsome as I know nothing about rotarys but hopefully if this car starts Ill sell my civic . thanx

Talking hi

well the first thing i would do is check for compression than if you say the plugs are dry than its pro ably fuel check to make sure you have fuel and make sure your fuel pump is pumping fuel to the engine there should be 2 or 3 fuel hoses going to the engine I think the top 1st one is the (in fuel hose)(tac. should jump if you have spark) coming off of the fuel filter with you should proable check and make shure isnt cloged. remember you have to have 3 things to make the car start 1.fuel 2.spark 3.compression. (very carefully) To check for spark you can take out one of the plugs or just use an extra one and ground it to the block and watch for spark (no spark check wireing). than if that doesn't fix it to check for fuel 1st off check your fuses with an ohm meter and make sure there all good. try to steer away from the starting fluid its really hard on the engine. but it sounds like your problem is mostly fuel so like id test the fuel pump and make sure you have fuel. ive had gass gauges go out on me lol or try to get a hold of an extra fuel pump and see what that dose if nothing else. Hope you find this helpfull
