Porting
Porting
Im eventually going to work on porting my engine, but I don't want to full bridge port it because id still like to "daily" it. Im looking at the porting templates on Mazdatrix website and don't know if I want to half-bridge it or just a street port yet, if I change my mind after I do one or the other could I still do a full bridge on it if I wanted to make it a more performance-based track engine or would that not work.
If it sounds like a stupid question feel free to call me out on it, Im new to rotary things

if you're going to daily it on the street, the street port is the way to go. the bridge gets kind of hardcore on the street, its happy when you're on the gas, and its hard to be on the gas a lot on the street
Is your motor turbocharged? You can always go back later and add additional porting. Once you've ported the motor it's done though, there is no turning back unless you buy new (non-ported) irons.
If you're turbo charged and you want more power then just upgrade your setup and increase the boost.

If I street ported it, could I half or full bridge it later on if I wanted to? Or does the sizing not match up?
the simple answer is yes. i have yet to see a bridgeport template that did not include streetporting. so you can just do the streetport part, and if you get to a point where you think you want to try a bridge, then use the same template.
