Well, after deciding to change my manny tranny fluid in my 83' LE (went with Royal Purple) I decided to Pull out my shifter and check the condition of the bushing and lube it up a bit as well...It came out just fine, but when I went to put it back in, The preload spring for the 1-2 gate gave me no resistance...So I pulled the shifter back out and found this..





Now my question is how do I fix it!?!?!?...I don't know whether I want to pry on that spring and am not sure whether to go to the right or left with it....

If anyone has any experience with this, let me know...I plan on monkeying with it later today...Thanks in advance for your help...
