Opinion on heater core problem

So a couple days ago my car decided to shoot hot coolant at my passengers legs (don't worry she's ok) so I went on a mission to find out what the problem is. Theres nothing like blindly going after something behind your dash eh? (don't worry I used the forums to find the right way of doing it after a couple hours of idiotic frustration)

ANYWAYS! I finally got to my heater core and after fighting with the silicon lines that hold it in place i pulled the evil thing out and this is what I found! (Pics below). To me it looks like its just the O-Rings but I'm honestly pretty dumb when it comes to cars so for all I know it could be the whole core. The foam that surrounds the core is soaked in coolant and I'm going to take it into a shop asap but I just wanted to get your guys' opinion.

a radiator repair shop will be able to test the core to see if it's leaking. but looks like just the O rings.

I got some new O-Rings and cleaned the area around the pipes and ran some water threw it. Seemed to be leaking slightly so I figure with proper pressure its just going to do what it did again. I dropped it off at a radiator shop today so I will know for sure tomorrow. Apparently the part stores around here don't have heater cores above the FC which is a little irritating lol.

Have to get this done ASAP so my gf doesn't have to bus to school and the people in my building will stop calling my car a "parts car" and trying to get it towed out of here -.-
