the six ports what do i need to do to get them to open correctly as such i have an apex n-1 exhaust hollowed cats and the six ports seem to be opening at around 3000 or close to it but its like way noticable not asmooth in any fashion looking for more control over these lil boogers gotta any ideas ,my air pump is removed so that rought is a no go ...help me out here rx7 GODS!!

 

Whats wrong with the 6-ports opening quickly? You are supposed to feel a DEFINITE HP gain when the 6-ports open, usually around 3800rpms. On 89-91 models the 6-ports snap open...sounds like thats what your is doing. The actuators might be getting stuck somewhat, and so they aren't opening smoothly. The actuators are held on by 2 10mm nuts(or least on my 90 they are, I assume its the same)...Remove them and spray some sort of degreaser in the actuator and manually push and pull on the actuator to work the degreaser in...see if that helps.
