oil level too high

my fc with many mods is running too rich. i believe fuel has entered my oil in large amounts.

i checked my oil level and it's probably at least 1 quart over the high mark on the dipstick.

i change my own oil, but i need to start and move the car to change it.

should i-

1. start the car and let it warm up to avoid flodding the engine before changing the oil.

2. start the car and move into the proper oil changing spot and turn off the engine before it gets warm.

basically i'm wondering if i will do damage to the engine by running it with 5 quarts of oil and 1 quart of gas in the engine vs. worring about flooding the engine from not letting it warm up.

First of all, just change the oil asap. There won't be any immediate catastrophic failure, but change the oil and fill it to the correct level. Does it smoke at all, even on startup?? The one thing I can think of is the oil ring o-rings are degraded , cracked, or the porting was done wrong (IF it was ported that is. If you port towards the center, that sort of problem will occur. I admit, this is a vague answer, but this could roughly be your problem. from my knowledge, the only way for gas to get into the oil pan is if it passes the oil seals. A very FAR- fetched answer would be that if the engine was rebuilt (hypothetically speaking) and there are no oil o-rings, that would cause this problem in no time. I'm sure there might be someone that can prove me wrong, but this is just from my knowledge. If it WASN"T rebuilt, the the oil o-rings are cracked and brittle. I've seen this a few times. Again, this is just MY opinion.
