oil in intercooler pipes?

oil in intercooler pipes?

I was just wondering if anyone else has had oil in their intercooler pipes and what it means... its not much but i know its not supposed to be in there. PCV? Turbos?

one or more oil seals in one or both of your turbos (assuming you are still running twins) are shot. time for rebuild soon.

Well, no, not necessarily. If there is a lot of oil then maybe but if there is very little oil it is perfectly normal. Can you be more specific on the amount of oil (a thin coat on the inside of the pipes or pools of it in the pipes as well as the intercooler)?

well i bought the car not too long ago and there was some.. not too much that the oil was low in the engine but it concerned me a little cuz i didnt think that was normal

i figured if the turbos were shot i would get oil in the exhaust... maybe?

when i changed my oil i checked the I.C. pipes again and there was some more, again not too dramastic and it seemes like my BOV vent a little bit of oil too

anything helps guys... thanks

If you take apart a piece of your intercooler piping, preferably near a corner and at the lowest point in the intake system and happen to find oil (pooled up) in otherwords, more than just a film of oil then one of your turbo seals is probably shot. Is the oil spraying out of the bov onto some part of the engine that you can tell?

just a tiny bit on to my intake... not anything dramatic but it concerns me...
