No spark on 93 rx7

Well for starts i was trying to wire up a msd6al2 and had a buddy helping me out and he some how hooked up wires backward and did a shitty saltering job. And from that messed up the leading coil pack. Well i got a new one and a another ignitor just incase. Checked the ecu and it was fine. So i tested everything and im getting power to the coil harness and getting resistance at the leading coil also but no spark. So i tried moving the ground to see if that would help and still nothing. So obly other thing i could think of is the crank sensor being messed up and not sending the signal to tell it to fire when needed to. Any ideas!? Would be greatly appricated.

Was it running before your buddy tried to wire the MSD in?

yea it was. but i figured it out. the ecu went to ****. but like the weird thing is i opened it up a little after it messed up to see if anything was broken, or messed up / fried. and there was no signs of anything being messed up or fried so i figured it was ok. and continued on looking so after looking over everything i dont know how many times. it just couldnt have been anything else. so i tried another one and it started right up. but i would have thought something in the ecu would have at least showed a sign but it didnt.
