Newbie needs a little help pls

This saturday I will be buying an 82 RX-7 assuming that the body is as good as the guy says. $100, why not? This is my first rotary engine and of course this one doesn"t start. It cranks over like it wants to start but only hiccups and backfires. Can ANYONE tell me what to check before I pay $50 for a 10 mile tow? Anyone? Please? help

Go to the 1st Generation section and ask your question there. Thats the section for the year of car you have and you will get an answer much faster there. Not as many people visit this section and those who do may not be as familiar with the carbuerated rotary engines versus the fuel injected ones.

Good luck and I hope it works out for you. Welcome to the rotary community.
