New engine loom- now issues

Fcs3 turbo- Doing a rebuild have had a new engine loom made and I installed it.deleted the unnecessary emissions etc.

the engine Will now start and die after 3 seconds. It will run if I hold the afm flap open though.

my electrical knowledge is limited and I had a search prior but found nothing similar.

was running prior. What part of the electrical system should I be focusing my search on?

You're going to need to provide more information than that. Does your car crank? Things to check are fuel, spark, and air.

Sorry, yeah I have good fuel and spark. It will idle for a second and dies, hitting the gas does not help.
The only way it will run is by opening up the AFM manually.
If I knew what area to focus my search on it would help as I checked all wires and colour codes but hit a dead end

I have double checked for air leaks and injector wiring. Everything is correct and no leaks. Tps all connected and correct.

The air fuel just does not seem to be right. I can get the car to run steady with my hand opening the MAF flap and giving it gas to compensate for air but as soon as I stop manually opening the flap the engine will kill itself.

Stuck for ideas again.

Update: bypassed fuel pump relay and powered off ignition. No change.

tested MAF by earthing off brown wire. No change, MAF is good.

re earthed ecu. No change.

I can still run the car only sometimes by manually holding MAF flapper open a bit. As soon as gas is given it dies.

as far as idle it will idle itself for 2 seconds and die- possibly when changing over from ecu start procedure to MAF?????

By no means do I consider myself an expert, but did you check continuity to confirm that the wiring is correct between the wiring connectors and the ecu pinout?

If the pinout is messed up on the ECU side then it definitely won't function right.
