Need HELP!!! Fc cluster lights

Ok so I just bought my 87 rx7 n/a only 120xxx miles, all stock. I since have been trying to figure out why my gauge cluster lights do not come on, or the interior lights.

All exterior lights work
All gauges work fine except the volt meter which randomly decides when to work, and I pulled the cluster out to check all the light bulbs and they seem to be fine..... any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Do your tail lights work? If they don't then check the 15 amp Illumination fuse. If they do work then your headlight switch/harness is the cause. When the switch is turned to the first position both the Red/Black and Red/Green wires of the headlight harness should have battery voltage. R/B powers the tails and R/G powers the gauge and dash lights.

The courtesy lights, door and overhead, are powered by the Room fuse.

Appreciate the response, The tails didn't work but I switched out the brake pedal sensor which fixed that, and all fuses are fine.

Although everything works including the shift up light and bright light etc... Would the switch still cause the cluster lights to not work?

The brake lights and the tail lights are not the same thing.

The headlights are not related to your problem. The headlights work because the switch sends a ground to the headlight relay. This is not related to how the dash or tails work in any way.

You were told which wires at the headlight harness should have power w/the switch turned to the first position.
