Need help with EGI fuse and Main Relay wires

So a few months ago, my EGI fuse blew ( 30 amp ) i replaced it and maybe a month later it blew again. i stop driving it, parked it in my garage just to start it up every now and then until i had time to get it fixed, and today it started right up like usual, then after 5 mins of sitting there, it bogged down and died. i checked the fuse again, blown, of course, but this time the wiring all the way to the MAIN RELAY was burnt. . . any ideas? as in getting it fixed? should i just get all new wires and replace everything? or take it to a local shop and have them fix it. any help is awesome

i have a 87 t2 with a 91 s5 motor

i want to fix it on my own, as i understand that way is lighter on the wallet, however, i may just need some assistances now on this. i really don't even know where to start. car turns, fuel pumps, now it just doesn't start. i know i shouldn't be starting it without findin the short ; again, i'm at my ends here, been fixing this car since i bought it from another guy who did the wiring.

yes it will be much lighter on the wallet , But sometimes its worth paying for it rather then doing a job half assed , First you will need a GOOD crimping tool / or soldering skills , You will need a test light to try and find the short . and to test things . and you will need know how . regular crimp tools that come in those cheap kits are garbage .

SO consider you may have to invest in tools , as well as High quality wiring . no you cant just use some house wires you found in the backyard! lol also if you have a friend with a good grasp of these kinds of things then you can dig into it yourself ..

its not really anything out of this world in difficulty . but it is tedious work .

Did you keep the Engine harness wiring from the S4 or did you switch it out with an S5 version? The S4 has 2 EGI fuses while the S5 has but one. Which do you have, 1 or 2 EGI fuses?

I don't know really, because the previous owner did the swap, so i am confused on what to buy, a 87 main relay 91 main relay, because i'm not sure really, what he did ...

This is my motor :

here is the after math, i took the main relay our because i wanted to match it only so i can order the right one. but now i'm thinking i should maybe just re wire everything and try it again? The entire wire from the EGI fuse is burned, all it is now is copper wire...

You can tell how many EGI fuses by looking in the engine fusebox for either there is one or two of them. An S4 has a 30 amp Comp fuse and a 40 amp Inj fuse. S5 has one 30 amp EGI fuse. It appears from the 2nd to last pic that you have the S5 setup. In that pic it illustrates the Main Relay at the right side of the picture and the connector on the left side of the pic. Focusing on the connector (left side of pic) that connector has the round side w/a group of wires coming from it running to the relay and the other end of the connector is square in shape. Now as far as the square end is concerned, how many wires plug into that particular end? Is it one wire?

the plug that has the square shape has a few wires, that come out into (4) prongs. theres a big blue wire, a black and yellow wire, the other two , they were burnt off, so i d k what colour they are -_- , i found a part online, i may just order it and re wire everything to see if that works ?
