Modded Nikki Carbs?
Hello to all - Are there any identifying marks on Sterling's Nikki carbs or on Paul Yaw's units? I have a highly modded Nikki that looks to be something for the stock classes and I'm wondering what the proper setting might be for it... mostly float heights, screw settings, etc for when I'm done going through the carb.
Any/all guidance will be helpful here! I can post pics as well if that'd be of any help.

Nobody able to help out there??? Also, as an added question, what can be expected from running a carb like this on the street? Fuel economy be alright or will it tank? Or is it primarily all in how you drive the car?

This section doesn't get a whole lot of traffic. This thread would probably do better in 1st gen or race car tech.
I think a lot of the settings you are asking about are found out through trial and error and you'll just have to find out what the car 'likes'.
Usually when removing 'extra' things from the carb, you end up losing functions that make if more driveable. Choke, progressive vacuum actuated secondaries, etc... Stuff that just kinda gets on the way when it's a racecar. Fuel economy is very dependant on driving habits. I doubt you'll notice much difference if you drive it sanely.

I run a stripped Nikki w/mechanical secondaries, stock port motor. 23-24 highway, 12-18 around town. It's all about the right toe.
The 1st gen section is where the Nikki experts dwell. I ain't one.
