mass air flow question

Can a mass air flow sensor be installed in the intercooler piping instead of on the turbo inlet duct.

Well, isnt the intercooler piping under pressure? I don't think the flimsy mass air sensor would stand up to it. I believe your stuck with it unless you have a complete stand alone engine management system.
