Lots of smoke from 12a

I have a 12a with a racing beat holley carb, and a straight-pipe. If i rev to around 8K rpm and let off the throttle while still in gear, it pops little fire ***** out the exhaust, so i do it for fun, haha, but i looked behind me after doing it today, and noticed lots of gray smoke. there is no smoke while on the throttle, or of the throttle under 4k rpm. is this normal? or should i be worried?

A friend borrowed the car and overheated it about a week ago, like 320+ degrees, and ill kill him if he burned my seals. there is no noticeable power loss though.

Coolant is still full, and it still runs great, I did an oil change the next day.
