So when I idle my 87 Rx7 GXL it sputters/putters in a single or double spurt then is fine then a few seconds later does it again. It doest really mess with the idle. But its like almost lil back exhaust or back fire not really loud. Just a little...putt...putt putt...would air filter, plugs, and maybe cleaning the injectors help?

 

Search for info pertaining to the TPS and address that issue and see if it helps.
