Kaaz 1.5

I have just installed my KAAZ 1.5 LSD to my fd. Oh my god it moans and groans like a pig and clunky out of junctions. My instructions are all in japanese. Can anybody abvise me on the running in. i have been doing 8's tonight but had to stop becasue it was getting a bit silly and i had a head ache.

I used some cheaper Diff oil for break in... basically do what it recommends for the "break in" procedure.... then change your Diff Oil to the Kaaz oil... and you should be set.

And you might want to get used to the clunking... the Kaaz diffs are notorious for being a little "noisy" in tight low gear turns... but one stab of the gas, and a clutch kick, should get your *** end out and stay on the throttle..... haha...

Kaaz doesn't recommend using any additive, but if you do, you can get the FORD Friction Modifier, and that may quiet things down a little.

I cant read my instructions coz its all in japanese. What is the break in cycle. im told there is a fast and a slow way

So the feel like the diff has just broke is pretty standard for a tight turn under acceleration ?

If you search online, you can typically find the instructions in english... but basically all it tells you to do, is do Figure 8's where you are off the throttle during the turning portion of the "8"..

Nothing too crazy... just drive around and coast around some tight turns... and you'll be fine...

Just make sure you have the PP frame bolts tight, and everything else is properly tourqued.... Other than that... You are experiencing "Clutch Type" diffs.....

I just put mine on. How long should I wait to change that oil out? And when you say PP fram bolt are you talking about the bolt on the bar to the frame of the car or to the diff?

I would say a couple hundred miles should be fine to change the diff oil out...

As far as the Power Plant frame, it is the piece that connects the transmission to the front of the diff. If the bolts(I believe 19mm) are loose, you will get a clunking noise, which may sound similar to common clutch diff noise...
