I've read alot and I'm a lil confused

I got a LC1 and gauge and installed it, and I have a power FC. Ok I'm not worrying about burning out the wide band in increased time as I'm only going to keep the car for 2 more years (is it right, but that's how overseas tours work). So I put the sensor in the stock location, and hooked up the gauge that came with it and that works great but I'm wondering how to hook it up as a Sim Narrow band, I'm currently using the yellow wire for the gauge and it's my understanding that the yellow is the one that you use for the Sim. So now my question. Do I hook up the yellow to the stock location and use the brown for the gauge? and if so is there anything (software wise) that I have to change? Because that would involve me hunting down a serial to usb converter or an old laptop.

Again thank you for all your help this board is so amazing. I just spend hours on here just reading so much it makes my head hurt!
